Claremont Resort and Spa Brings Carnival To Day Home Yard

Thanks to our friends at Claremont Resort and Spa, on August 13th our children were treated to a carnival right here in our own playground!  Led by Kathy Marty, more than 25 Claremont employees volunteered to put together a carnival that our children and staff will not soon forget.

It was all smiles and laughter on the Day home yard as the children joyfully bounced between seven event stations including: basketball, ball bounce, jump-rope, face painting, cake walk, duck scoop, and bowling. Face painting was the hands-down favorite with children lining up to have our own Ms. Terry, Ms. Blanca, and Ms. Joe— who served as resident artists—paint their faces. Perfectly organized, Claremont volunteers ran each carnival station and provided the children with event cards and stickers to keep track of the activities they completed. The children’s excitement was contagious and had staff and Claremont employees alike joining in the fun! 

If all of this wasn’t enough, our generous Claremont hosts gave a gift bag to every child, which contained stickers, bubbles, and fruit roll-ups. To conclude this perfect morning, all Saint Vincent’s children and staff were treated to a tasty lunch of beef or chicken tacos, fruit salad, vegetables, and cupcakes.
